From my mentor Joseph McClendon III...

Nothing splendid has ever been achieved without risk. Of all the risks wealth, health, even bodily harm. Fear of rejection and failure is the number one obstacle that most use to stop their momentum or even getting started. Hunt that fear like it threatens the very lives of your children. Find it, slaughter it, celebrate and boldly rock on.

To Risk

by William Arthur Ward

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out to another is to risk involvement,
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.

To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss.

To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To live is to risk dying,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.

But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.

He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
But he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live.

Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom.

Only a person who risks is free.

The pessimist complains about the wind;

The optimist expects it to change;

And the realist adjusts the sails.

Making Deliberate Decisions

Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
~Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

If you know where you want to go then the decisions you make support your destination. If, however; you do not know where you want to be then the decisions you make may not lead you in the direction you should go.

Alright...so what does this mean.

To get somewhere in life you must know where it is you want to be.

Envision the goal

Think about where you are headed daily

What is the Dream?

What map have you made to get there?

When set out on the route of your destination...you start right where you are, just as you are and with the you you have.

You can't start your trip somewhere else...It starts where you are now.

Your mind is an incredible creature-your body responds to what you put into it.

If you put in Good ...you get out Good

If you put in Bad ...you get bad

If you put in the map and review it daily you will eventually get to where you want to be (and probably further).

BUT you must first start with knowing where you want to go...

PS If you google "I don't Know" in google maps---you will likely end up in a saloon.
